Publications & Forms


CalPERS Member Publications
Through a multi-year, cross-divisional effort, I project-managed and redesigned the CalPERS member publications, a family of 28 booklets for CalPERS members and employers. Our goal is to reduce complexity of information, improve customer service delivery, comply with accessibility mandates and goals, while reducing physical resources (toner and page count).


Forms
CalPERS owns and manages over 1,200 forms. Each time a member or employer needs to elect or change an option, such as designating a beneficiary or applying for service retirement, a transaction with CalPERS, by way of a form, is required.
In 2019, a senior leader I partner closely with, led the initiative to formalize a policy for our external forms. With the resurrection of the Forms Management Unit, the policy defined the roles, responsibilities, and objectives for the maintenance and alignment of our forms.
Through subsequent phases of the External Forms project, I have been closely involved with the design and implementation of a MS Word form template that meets the requirements for accessibility (WCAG 2.1) and the California Department of General Services’ State forms standards.
